Collage Cubes Course
Learn how to make whimsical collage cubes from cardboard and cereal boxes.
Take a break from the wacky world and sink into creative play.
The instructions are clear and easy to follow. There are lots of videos, photos, and notes that you can download, print, and put in your sketchbook or file box.
We will create papers for collage with stamping, tracing, stenciling, markmaking, painting, and printing.
Basic tools and materials are fine—cardboard, a cereal box, a ruler, a glue stick, printer paper, magazines, and artist acrylic paint or house paint. Crayons and markers if you have them. Deli paper (I’ll send an Amazon link) would be great, but not necessary. Add your own collage papers if you have them.
The course is self-paced, you have access for a year, and you may download the notes to your computer.
Special Bonus—If you wish, you may share your cubes in a special online community space called The Playpen, where you can meet other students, ask questions, share your artmaking tips, and network. I’ll pop in from time to time, too.
The teaching platform has fantastic technical support, and you can email me with questions about the course.
$15 — Special pricing for “founding students.” This is my maiden teaching experience, and I know this course will become much more expensive over time.
I’ll be your guide and will share what I have learned over many decades of artmaking.
My first collection of cubes was made in the late 1970s, and I’ve returned to this delightful form several times.
Looking forward to meeting you.
